π or 3.14159 (often referred to as "Pi", and signing himself as a huge complex mathematical equation that represents the value of pi, although h/2ћ is kind of cheating) joined RationalWiki in March 2008. He was sysoped by Pink on 24 July and bureaucratised by SusanG on 27 August.[3]

By late 2008, he had become one of the heavyweight users on RationalWiki, alongside Weaseloid and Human. As a bureaucrat, 3.14159 has been the most prominent in "demoting" editors to sysop status. Pi also has some IT expertise, and is frequently involved in site-maintenance duties and projects.

3.14159 claims 19 Conservapedia blocks. Despite his mathematical name, he has not been blocked by Ed Poor. Yet.[Oh, really?]

3.14159 is the creator of the latest incarnation of RationalWikiWikiWiki.

In early January 2009, 3.14159 (which is a mere approximation of pi) was renamed to the more precise π.

He promoted Himself all the way to regular editor in September 2009 claiming that he does not use these powers.[4] Despite this claim, he later asked for a special user group with some sysop/bureaucrat powers.[5] However, this meant he couldn't unblock himself, or undelete pages.

[edit] Blocking fetish

Apparently Pi has a fetish for blocking. He once blocked every active sysop (and displays the result prominently on his userpage[6]), and has also programmed Pibot to block every sysop on the wiki.[7] He did that twice, which was mildly amusing the first time, but earned some ire from users who are not into this whole "friendly block" thing the second time.[8] He was also quick to act in The Great Tor Debate, during which he used Pibot to block every known Tor exit point, resulting in more than 1000 blocked IPs. For this act, Human desysopped Pibot.[9]

[edit] Moderator

Pi was one of the first batch of moderators elected. On December 4th 2011, he randomly made himself a tech.

[edit] Server access meme

Many people (notably Human) seem to think Pi has server access, and he does have access to the bot server. However, this distinction isn't clear to some.
