ASchlafly is the founder and most turgid member of Conservapedia. He is sometimes, incorrectly, rumored to have made the occasional foray into enemy territory. His contributions there have been remarkably uninteresting.
Most postings or user names that resemble his are simply humorous deception via sockpuppetry or false signing by existing RationalWiki members who seek to make a point, or a bad joke.
Bizarrely enough, ASchlafly has actually had a significant influence on the policies and practices of RationalWiki. Many of the original and most powerful members of RationalWiki were veterans of Conservapedia who had chaffed under the repressive rules and rampant wingnuttery of ASchlafly and his stooges, and many RationalWiki policies (i.e. the concept of "mobocracy" and lack of established rules, the over-proliferation of Sysops, the site's incredibly tolerant vandal policy) seem to be deliberate attempts to avoid the sort of Stalinist atmosphere that Conservapedia bred. Andy also serves as a sort of icon for everything a sysop/bureaucrat should not be—accusations of being "just like" or "worse than" Andy/ASchlafly are sometimes thrown around when a user is ticked off at a sysop, just as accusations of being "as bad as" or "worse than" CP are thrown around when a user is disgruntled with the site itself.
At one point the rationalists decided to continue the fight against the weirdness at CP by creating articles on vegetables and redirecting them to Mr Schlafly's article. These vegetable redirects served the vital function of redirecting the anger of RationalWikians against a common enemy and not against each other. Go RationalWiki! That's how to show those creationists the error of their ways!
