Auld Nick was a highly effective "parodist" at Conservapedia until May 2007 when he left to join RW. Although he has not been very active on RW, in autumn of 2008 speculation began - largely fueled by AN himself - that he was the brutal Conservapedian (with block rights) Bugler.[2]
Bugler has since been revealed to be Fretfulporpentine, another fairly minor contributor at RationalWiki. This indicates that, unless by any small chance Fretfulporpentine is a sockpuppet of Auld nick (which would seem unlikely), Auld Nick's previous insinuations were nothing more than an idle boast. This is comparable to his claim, in July 2008, before he had started claiming to be Bugler, that some of his socks were sysops at CP.[3]
