David Gerard is a despicable wanker[4] of a Wikipedian and Uncyclopedian, as well as a RationalWikian. His main obsessions areas of interest on RationalWiki are Cryonics[5] (which led to concern troll and cryonics pusher Ben Best showing up for a few weeks.[6]) and Citizendium.
David's desire to engender love and worship from some RationalWikians led to him spearheading the drive to the only case the Loya Jirga has ever heard, in which it was decided that "vile" comments could be deleted without comments or archiving from a user's talk page. David proceeded to interpret this as meaning he could delete anything MarcusCicero, 86.40.anything, or anyone else said, anywhere, that he didn't like. On August 6 2010, David blocked the "new user" Occasionaluse for nine hours, and accused the obvious sockpuppet of Neveruse of being "MC".[7] Who said RationalWiki doesn't block people? The "Chicken Coop" case was ignored by most heavy hitters at RationalWiki, despite it being a serious charge—likely because of the involvement of MarcusCicero.

[edit] Conflicts with other users
David's personality and editing decisions may have helped him fall out with many of the major contributors on the site. For instance, while he initially was on good terms with uber editor Human, as of August 2010 they seem to be at daggers drawn.[8] This antagonism has recently intensified, leading Human to tell Gerard:
...go fuck yourself, asshole. Lumenos is as equally valuable to this site - if not more so - than you.[9]
"Reformed" troll MarcusCicero cleverly exploited the situation by criticizing David at every turn. This had the effect of blunting criticism of David, as Marcus (presumably) was aware that most people avoid agreeing with him on principle and thus his criticisms spared David from much of the flack he would have otherwise received.
When Tyrannis posted information about the infamous CWCki on Occasionaluse's talkpage, David foolishly opened it, presumably not knowing about what happened when Alain opened it during the summer. He then wanted Tyrannis "deleted from the universe" for knowing about it. [10]
