Fox is a former Conservapedia sysop and sometime parodist[4] who, having retired and been blocked at Conservapedia, appeared periodically as an on-again-off-again editor at RationalWiki.
Fox is a Messianic Jew, the perfect faith for someone who apparently has an intense persecution complex.[5]
He has got into vicious (and usually alcohol-fuelled) arguments with other editors on multiple occasions. One night in the summer of 2008, he was angered by some real or imagined slight on the WIGO:CP talk page, and hurled insults around, along with persistent demands that editors speak to him verbally by telephone.[6] His ranting spilled over into Conservapedia, where he went on a blocking spree targeting RationalWiki editors.[7] Fox later admitted,to nobody's surprise, that he had been drunk [8]
[edit] Disputes over legislation targeting paedophilia
In his most recent stint on RationalWiki, most of his edits concerned the question of how fear of paedophilia is leading the British government to pass laws that treat regular people as suspected paedophiles. After creating two new articles criticizing the paranoia over child molestation in the U.K.,[9][10] in which he pulled a Godwin's[11] and invited much controversy,[12][13] he performed a sort of flip-flop and got into a snit about an essay which he perceived as RationalWiki's tolerance for pedophilia.[14] Despite many other participants in the conversation at least partially agreeing with him,[15] Fox became increasingly irrational, accusing anybody who opposed deletion of the article of being a "kiddy fucker",[16] before leaving in a huff with a salvo of insults all around.[17] Other editors conjectured that, like previous Fox rampages, the incident was probably alcohol-related.[18]
