Reckless Noise Symphony, formerly Gooniepunk2010 and Gooniepunk2005, is a sloppy, slime- and puke- and piss- and shit-covered punk who would rather roll on a floor soaked with beer and cigarette butts and stale sweat than enjoy an afternoon in the sunshine.[4] He is an alleged mechanical engineer, which qualifies him to either roll on a floor soaked with beer and cigarette butts and stale sweat or run a wiki. Maybe both.
As the former name suggests, Gooniepunk is a punk from Minnesota who enjoys Mike Malloy and used to play bass in the band F|U|X. He was made a bureaucrat at RationalWiki on September 7, 2009, as the first bureaucratic act of SuperJosh[5], who had received his cratship a few hours previously.
The Goonie was desysoped shortly after midnight EST on July 6th 2009. For 47 minutes he was just another user[5], until he was later demoted back to sysop, though nobody can be sure why.

For a period, Gooniepunk seemed to have had a penchant for feeding trolls, especially MarcusCicero. This sometimes brought scorn upon him from other RationalWikians because they get their panties in a wad anytime someone uses their wiki to argue with the excommunicated slime. He has, in the past, abused his powers to launch attacks against and troll MarcusCicero,[6] and has also been known to sock it up on the site in ways which would be considered trolling.[7] In spite of this, he also seems to have a split personality, in that he is relatively welcoming and helpful to newer users. It would seem, to the casual RationalWiki reader, that these traits seem to cancel each other out in the eyes of the RationalWiki community. More recently, especially after MC's "retirement" from trolling, he appears to be back to his usual, more respectable self, and has been known for, amongst other things, starting the "RationalWiki Pat On the Back Society," and for his willingness to try to help diffuse conflict on the site.
[edit] Anti-Anti-Conservapedia
Goonie has largely abandoned the Conservapedia side of RationalWiki. As a result, he is one of the leading post-Conservapedians and has been known to turn the boycott switch on in an attempt to confuse and anger the Anti-Conservapedians. [8] This is a complete 180 degree turn from, what he claims to have been, his original purpose for arriving at RationalWiki, which was as a fellow Conservapedia observer.

Originally named "Gooniepunk2005," he changed his username to "Gooniepunk2010" in 2010, apparently at the request of RA.[10] Later, citing "an outdated username,"[11] he changed his name from the more well-known "Gooniepunk" variants to "Reckless Noise Symphony" in May, 2011.
