Great Demoting Binge

On May 22, 2008, Human went on the Great Demoting Binge. Several users were demoted to sysop, and a few sysops were further degraded to the lowly rank of bureaucrat.
Whether it was truly a "binge", just a good idea, a reaction to one of Radioactive afikomen's essays, and how it will work out long-term are all open questions to the inquiring mind. (Who wants to know.) Seems to have worked out all right so far, though.
