Phantom Hoover became a sysop on 24 November 2008, and a bureaucrat on 26 January 2009.[2]
He was involved in the "Rose Pedals incident", a minor conflict which arose as a result of an incident during one of Fall down's many vandal attacks on the site. Proxima Centauri blocked an account (or two accounts, according to some accounts) named "Rose Pedals", believing it to be a sock of Fall down. Phantom Hoover disagreed and blocked Proxima Centauri for "Being overly trigger-happy". A couple of slightly acrimonious discussions followed,[3] before the whole thing was largely forgotten.
He seems rather put out that it took RWW so long to notice that he was a bureaucrat.
[edit] Versus Lumenos
Phantom Hoover recently has had a to do with Lumenos over RWW's article on The WikiIndex Incident. This feud spans across RationalWiki[4], RationalWikiWiki[5], and Lumenos' own Wiki. This dispute even led to Lumenos creating an article on eir Wiki slamming Phantom Hoover called "PhatTom Hoover."[6]
