Refugee had been an editor at RationalWiki since 11 August 2007 under the name CP Refugee, and was renamed on 24 March 2008.[3] She was sysoped by Javascap on 6 February 2009.[4] On April 22, 2009, Javascap proposed to demote her to Bureaucrat, a movement that was accepted and carried out by Ace McWicked.[5]
Refugee announced her retirement on May 13, 2010, then de-Sysopped and de-Bureaucratted herself [6] and left the Wiki.[7] This was not due to a conflict or problem with anyone at the wiki, but for personal reasons. Refugee retains fond memories of friends at RationalWiki and is supportive of the goals of the wiki.[8] She returned in November 2010, to remark on the passing of Jtl, and again in early 2011 to comment on P-Foster's sick cat. She returned again when Stabby (Radioactive Afikomen) created his "bitterness" page to try and mediate matters.
After the events of May 2011, Refugee left again [9] She returned after the moderator elections.
